Workplace consultancy and FM Support

 

As part of the Quality Assurance procedures within the practice, health and safety issues are addressed within the QA Policy statement and the accompanying QA Manual – Design for Quality. These detail the requirements for implementation of health and safety and particularly CDM are integrated as Best Practice in compliance with duties arising under CDM 2007. Compliance with these requirements is then audited on a regular rolling audit programme carried out by trained internal and external auditors.

 

Pascall+Watson’s general policy with regard to health and safety and the CDM Regulations is to provide adequate information, training and supervision to all of our staff on all aspects of their work, to ensure that both their health and safety, and the health and safety of people with whom they come into contact with, are safeguarded.

 

Experience has taught us that in addition to comprehensive services for capital projects many clients would like to be able to call upon professional support on and ad-hoc or consultancy basis to assist with a range of property and workplace issues which arise during the regular course of business and/or as part of minor works operations. Typically, neither consultants nor contractors are best organised to respond to these requirements and perceived barriers exist in a market which focuses on commercial bidding for lump sum contracts with ‘up front’ work restricted to that which can be done with minimal resource and that which does not betray commercial or design advantage.

 

In order to help clients resolve these deficiencies in provision Pascall+Watson have developed a tailored, menu based, offering which encourages clients to call upon us without formality or the need for complex appointments, hoping eliminating the barriers which severely restrict out of contract communications. We are happy to offer advice over the telephone to Facilities Managers, to attend meetings as expert consultants with Management or to assist with building assessments and audits with agents prior to letting agreements being completed.
